The end of 2023 took a drastic shift because the masses weren't expecting Vidhu Vinod Chopra's 12th Fail to bring to the table the freshness and magic of storytelling, especially when it comes to Biopics, which will reach out to audiences as a thundering storm. One of the amazing performances one got to witness was by Vikrant Massey as Manoj Sharma. Let's take a look at some of the amazing performances.

Criminal Justice (Season 1)

One can look at this Hotstar special web series and wonder how an actor can bring so much to the table even though the writing seems unnecessary, dragging up the theme despite a good story. With his subtle nuances and complexities, Vikrant Massey managed to keep the audience hooked throughout the series, especially throughout the initial episodes.

Available: Disney Hotstar

A death in the Gunj

One of the brilliant movies when it comes to direction, storytelling, and performance. Massey as ‘Shutu’ can make one feel the pain of rejection, depression, and mental exhaustion. Throughout the series, his character will make audiences feel helpless and show how little attention means the world to him.

Available: Amazon Prime

Haseen Dilruba

Throughout the 20 years of his acting career, Massey has mastered the art of bringing interesting choices to the character that are beyond the script. His character Rishu's journey from becoming a sincere lover to slowly becoming an insane lover at the end is what will surprise us throughout the movie. Though the character was well written, his choices make it more interesting for viewers to stay with the movie.

Available: Netflix

Broken but beautiful

Massey played Veer, a miserable man who couldn't get over his wife's death. He brought authenticity and complexity to his character by making viewers understand his struggle with loss, love, and the serious grief associated with Veers' wife's death.

Available: Jio Cinema, Mx Player, and ZEE5.

Lootera

In this movie, Massey plays Devdas, a thief with a sweet charm. In spite of his debatable choices throughout the movie, one cannot help but empathize with his character, which makes it difficult for viewers to not like him. This is a testimony to the fact that Vikrant Massey's craft has evolved so much over the years that he can also make even supporting roles memorable for audiences.
